At Kanaka School of Law, we are committed to creating a
safe, inclusive, and empowering academic environment for all our students, especially women. In line
with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013,
the institution has established a dedicated Girls Students Grievance Cell to ensure that female
students can voice concerns and seek redressal without fear or hesitation.
The Cell addresses issues related to gender-based discrimination, sexual harassment, psychological
or emotional distress, and any other form of grievance affecting the well-being of girl students on
campus. It works proactively to spread awareness, uphold dignity, and promote a respectful and
secure learning environment.
The Grievance Cell functions with full sensitivity, confidentiality, and integrity, maintaining
adherence to both legal frameworks and institutional values. The Cell is committed to a
zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment or misconduct.
The policy may be amended as needed through a formal proposal, followed by review and majority approval from the committee members. Any changes must be documented and communicated to stakeholders. The Principal may initiate or approve amendments to ensure the policy remains updated and relevant.
The Grievance Cell functions independently with full authority to investigate complaints and recommend appropriate actions. It operates confidentially and without external influence. The institution ensures the Cell receives necessary resources and support to uphold student welfare and institutional fairness.
